7.5 sen dividend, 1.25 sen bonus for ASB

Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) unitholders will receive a dividend of 7.50 sen per unit for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2010 compared with 7.30 sen declared last year.

The 7.04 million unitholders who currently hold more than 82.72 billion ASB units will also receive a bonus of 1.25 sen, similar to last year.

Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) Chairman Tan Sri Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said the income distribution portion involved a total payout of RM5.93 billion while the bonus portion RM603.34 million.

Up to last Friday, he said, the scheme registered a gross income of RM6.58 billion.

"Dividend income from investee companies contributed RM3.27 billion or 50 per cent of the gross income, and profit from the sale of shares contributed RM2.78 billion or 42 per cent," he told a press conference here today.

He said the remaining eight per cent or RM0.53 billion was derived from investment in short-term instruments and other investments.

PNB President and Chief Executive Officer Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said this year''s earnings were supported by the increase in dividend contributions from subsidiary companies particularly Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) which amounted to 55 sen compared with eight sen a year earlier.

Dividend contribution from Sime Darby Bhd, meanwhile, dropped to 10 sen from 20.3 sen in 2009.

"In terms of income, last year's dividend was less than 50 per cent but this year, we managed to achieve 50 per cent resulting from dividend returns from our investee companies.

"This year's performance was quite fortunate. Even though Sime Darby paid less than last year, we received a higher dividend from Maybank which had been gradually recovering," he said.

Asked on Sime Darby's performance, Hamad said: "We are always hoping that the performance of our companies will improve.

"If we look at Sime Darby's performance, they have projected the situation to get better in the future and we hope this will can help us get better returns." -- BERNAMA

PNB, CIMB Unveils Online Funds Top Up Service At MSAM 2010

KUCHING, April 20 (Bernama) -- Permodalan Nasional Bhd and CIMB Bank on Tuesday unveiled CIMB Clicks Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB) Funds Top Up Facility at the 11th Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia (MSAM) here.

The online facility allows all registered ASNB investors, who have a CIMB Clicks account to make additional investments in five fixed-price unit trust funds managed by ASNB.

The five funds are Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB), Amanah Saham Malaysia (ASM), Amanah Saham Didik (ASD), Amanah Saham Wawasan 2020 (ASW2020) and Amanah Saham 1Malaysia (AS 1Malaysia).

"As the ASNB funds are very well received by the public, including many of CIMB customers. The bank feels that it can provide more value-added services to its customers by offering hassle-free online investment top up facility," PNB President and Group Chief Executive Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said at the launch here.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin officiated the launch, after the official opening of the 11th Minggu Saham Amanah Malaysia.

To enjoy the online service, ASNB investors just need to register with CIMB Clicks and have active ASB, ASM, ASD, ASW2020 and AS1M membership numbers.

Hamad said third party top up is also accepted under this service, thus allowing family members or guardians to invest for their loved one.

Minimum investment through CIMB Clicks is RM1 and the maximum is subject to the investors' purchase limit and funds available in the customer's accounts.

He said a service fee of RM1 will be charged for every transaction regardless of the amount.

However, unit holders may only update their passbook at all ASNB offices, CIMB Bank, RHB Bank, Maybank and Pos Malaysia branches nationwide the next working day after the validation is done.

All transactions performed on Saturday, Sunday and Public holiday will be processed on the next working day.

The online facility also available at Maybank2u, he added.

PNB umum dividen ASB 7.30 sen tahun 2009

KUALA LUMPUR: Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) hari ini mengumumkan agihan pendapatan skim Amanah Saham Berhad (ASB) sebanyak 7.30 sen bagi tahun kewangan berakhir 31 Disember 2009 berbanding 7.00 sen tahun sebelumnya.

Demikian diumumkan Pengerusi PNB, Tun Ahmad Sarji, di sini sebentar tadi. Ia membabitkan pembayaran dividen RM4.95 billion kepada pemegang unit, meningkat 19.56 peratus berbanding RM4.14 bilion tahun kewangan sebelumnya.

PNB juga mengumumkan pembayaran bonus 1.25 sen, membabitkan nilai RM537.65 juta. "Pembayaran itu akan memberi manfaat kepada 6.78 juta pemegang unit yang kini melanggan RM70 bilion unit ASB," katanya.

ASB may see better dividend this year 2009

Investors of the Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) fund may see better dividend distribution this year, since the country's economy has been showing a positive growth rate.

Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) president and group chief executive Tan Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman said the state-owned company has been providing good returns through its various funds to its investors every year.

"Our past record revealed that despite facing economy slowdowns, PNB continued to offer a promising dividend rate," he told reporters after he paid PNB's business tithes amounting to RM1.7million for the financial year 2008 to Tengku Mahkota Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah at Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan yesterday. Tengku Abdullah is the Pahang Islamic Affairs and Malay Customs Council president.

Earlier, Hamad Kama Piah said Pahang is the fourth state to receive the business tithes from PNB for 2008.

Other states were Sarawak totalling RM2.7 million, Malacca RM900,000 and Penang RM2.2million.
The business tithes paid by PNB is calculated based on profit derived by the institution from investment holdings, property managment, unit trust management and consultation services.

ThxPORTAL - Buat OD/ASB CIMB

Hari ini saya telah berjaya menghantar borang permohonan untuk membuka akaun semasa yang ada Overdraft yang bersandarkan sijil ASB. Setelah menahan sabar berminggu rasanya sejak CIMB buat promosi OD BLR - 2.0% (akan berakhir pada 31/12/2009), akhirnya terlaksana juga projek OD/ASB saya ini.

Rate : BLR - 2%
MOF : 90%

1. Bawa buku ASB ke cawangan ASNB untuk membuat sijil ASB.

Sampai disana, saya mengisi borang permohonan untuk membuat sijil ASB. Dikaunter, borang yang telah diisi dan RM10 diberikan kepada kerani yang bertugas. Tak sampai 10 minit, semuanya beres. Sijil bernilai $$$$$ ada ditangan.

2. Call personal banker kat CIMB Batu Berendam

Saya call dan maklumkan sekejap lagi saya sampai disana nak buat OD/ASB. Sebab dah kenal dengan personal banker tu so senang lar nak berurusan. Apa yang diperlukan sebelum berjumpa dengan beliau

- IC
- Salary Slip
- Sijil ASB
- Buku ASB

Sampai disana berikan semuanya diatas untuk dibuat salinan sambil itu, silalah mengisi borang permohonan OD/ASB. Itu saja. Lepas semuanya selesai, boleh lar buat-buat tanya pasal produk CIMB yang lain seperti Credit Card, Refinancing, ASB Loan, Unit trust dan macam-macam lagi. Ini dapat memberikan semangat kepada beliau untuk mempercepatkan urusan permohonan anda :)

So, sekarang tunggu masa nak sign LO.

Update 20/11/09

Baru tadi pergi sign LO dan buat ATM kad. Minggu depan dah boleh ambik buku cek. OD masuk dalam 1-2 minggu bergantung kepada PNB. So, sekarang tunggu duit OD masuk.

Kos yang perlu untuk projek OD/ASB CIMB ini :-

Sijil ASB = RM10
CIMB Fees = RM162.15
*Deposit Akaun Semasa = RM500

Total : RM672.15

*Syarat untuk buka akaun semasa baru, boleh keluar balik jika perlu.

Hari ni duit OD/ASB sudah masuk. Mulanya tak perasan Account Balance sudah berubah sebab melihat pada Overdraft limit yang masih RM0.00. Rupanya, kena tengok Account Balance sebab besoknya baru Overdraft Limit dikemaskini. Apapun, Alhamdulillah, projek OD/ASB terlaksana dengan jayanya.

Hari ni call cimb bank sebab nak top-up OD yang sedia ada. Agak terkejut bila diberitahu, jika buat top-up hari ini, OD rate sekarang akan ikut rate BLR - 1.65% bukan lagi BLR - 2%. Ingatkan top-up ni tak mengubah rate yang lama. So, terpaksa batalkan nak buat top-up, tunggu OD rate turun balik ke 2%.
